The Story...
It’s never too late to set a new goal and achieve your dreams. At least that’s true for Frank Ruvoli. He’s the all American boy whose original dream was to be part of America’s favorite pastime: baseball.
If it wasn’t for a career ending injury, Frank may have never found the time to discover his musical talent. A late bloomer, he purchased his buddy’s guitar in college and began learning the tunes of his favorite artists. Inspired by Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Phish, his sound isn’t singular. Whether you want to chill, study or stomp to the beat, Frank's got a sound that can reach everybody. |
He first learned to play cover songs thanks to Youtube. A year and a half later, after gaining the confidence of his musical abilities, Frank began writing his own tunes.
Since 2013, Frank Ruvoli has been strumming his guitar at several NWI restaurants and bars and playing festivals and college campuses. His first album, Places I’ve been, debuted in August of 2016. He recorded, mixed, and mastered all the songs on the album. And as if that weren’t enough, he played every instrument.
Frank wastes no time on writing and strumming away, though, as he is already planning his second album, Dreamers. Listen to the first single,“You’re my Love.”
The second album, Dreamers, is an upbeat collection that circles back to the original mission: beginning a new dream and not being afraid. Musically, Frank is inspired by his own experiences and his B.A. in Philosophy helps the writing process come together.
“Philosophy taught me how to break ideas down to their simplest form. In my writing, I can focus on a singular moment or one particular feeling/emotion and allow that to manifest into verses, bridges, and choruses.”
Franks ambition doesn’t cease to end. While recording Places I’ve Been, he launched his own label, Fire Tree Records. “Northwest Indiana is a talent pool for musicians. I'm always seeking to discover someone with a dream that may not know where to start.”
